Ukousa Events is an event management company based in Pretoria, working across Gauteng. It plans and runs corporate functions, conferences, year-end functions, product launches, weddings and private celebrations — handling venue sourcing, catering, staging, sound, lighting, décor, staffing and full on-the-day management. One coordinator owns the event from brief to pack-down, so the client is not managing eight suppliers on the day.

Frequently asked questions
How much does an event planner cost in South Africa?
Event management is usually charged either as a percentage of total event spend, typically 10 to 15 percent, or as a flat coordination fee for smaller events. On a corporate function the fee frequently pays for itself through supplier rates you would not get booking direct.
How far in advance should I book a year-end function?
Book by July or August for a November or December function in Gauteng. The strong venues are fully committed by late winter, and what remains in October is what nobody else wanted. Earlier booking also means better catering and AV rates.
Do you handle the liquor licence?
Yes. Where alcohol is served at a venue without its own licence, we arrange the occasional or event liquor licence and make sure public liability cover is in place before the event.

Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, Johannesburg and Sandton for the majority of work, with venue relationships across greater Gauteng. We take on events elsewhere in South Africa for existing corporate clients.
